This home was designed for a young professional couple who wanted a contemporary design to compliment their energetic lifestyle and modern standard of living. The criteria for the brief was a three bedroom home that had to be 180m2 to meet subdivision covenants. The material selection needed to be of a high aesthetic value yet economical from the outset for both cost to build and low maintenance for the future. As the location is in a coastal environment the form had to be complimentary to the site and its topography and meet some careful design criteria including privacy from street, maximizing views and shading, good indoor /outdoor flow and finally to provide an interesting aesthetic architecturally designed home.
